Oil Spill Response Study.Opslagterminal in Italie: Herziening van huidige Oil Spill Response Plan.De studie omvat een alternatief plan vooreen door de Havenautoriteiten opgestelde verordening om tijdens de lossing een oliekerend scherm rondom de tanker aan te brengen. Hetvoorgestelde Oil Spill ResponseSysteem zal bestaan uit een permanent oliekerend scherm van HDPE materiaal, welk onder de steigers zal worden gepositioneerd. Verder bestaat het systeem uit pontons waarop containers zijn aangebracht met oliekerende schermen op hydraulisch bedienbare haspels. Een oliedetectiesysteem zal in een vroegtijdig stadium aangeven wanneer er een oliemorsing plaats vindt. Hierdoor is er optimalisatie van interventie tijd en het indammen van de oliemorsing. <br>

Olieverontreiniging in zeehaven. Bijstand verlenen aan gedupeerde visserman in zijn poging de veroorzaker van een grote olieverontreiniging in de haven te achterhalen. Er werd nauw samengewerkt met Rijkswaterstaat, Havenbedrijf en de Zeehavenpolitie. Gedurende een periode vanca. 18 maandenkon hij zijn beroep niet uitoefenen. Uiteindelijk is de verontreiniging gestopt zonder dat de veroorzaker bekend is geworden. Het belangrijkste is dat de visserman na deze vervelende periode weer in schoon water kon vissen. <br>
